Great value for the area. Absolutely great hotel in a decent position to the kensington tavern as well as affordable dining facilities. Amiable staff, really really nice stay. Location really close to the Kensington Motel in Whangarei for one night and supermarket and pharmacy and takeaways for dinner.

The room was good sized and newly renovated and with fan, 2 single beds, heating, had everything I needed.

Every visit to Whangarei we like to stay here. The hotel is clean, the staff is COOPERATIVE, and the room is good sized. Its location is excellent & incredible, close to supermarket and other shops and whangarei attractions and Close to various dining options.

The room was great value. There was a spacious bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer, and towels. The location was favourable and decent for us - close to restaurants and pubs.

The location was good, the staff were outstandingly accommodating.

Tbh Wi-Fi was rather slow, and the bed was a bit hard.

The location is handy and decent, 2 miles from Claphams Clock Museum. The room is well priced. The hotel's staff is very hospitable and efficient.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised! The location was fantastic, with plenty of nearby restaurants and cafes. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was equipped with everything I needed, including free wi-fi and flat-screen TV. Plus, the seasonal outdoor pool was a nice bonus on a warm day.

I highly recommend staying at this venue. The housekeeping was exceptional and the room amenities, like the electric kettle and cookware, were helpful for a comfortable stay.

the room was nicely refurbished and well-appointed with all main requirements for a non cooking unit, stayed here for 1 night. a microwave oven, a fridge and a dining area turned out to be good. the good location was close to whangarei anglican church.

Shame the bathroom was cold.

The rooms with bed on BOTH sides, kitchen. Nice food plus pretty friendly staff. Favourable and easy location for enjoying restaurants and pubs close to the hotel. Great restaurant around 10-15 minutes walk from the property.

Wi-Fi was a bit slow.

I had a fantastic stay at a comfortable, older style motel. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. The unit was spotless and well-maintained, with high-quality sheets and towels. I especially loved the little touches like the words in different languages. Although the shower was a bit small, it didn't take away from the overall positive experience. The motel had a convenient location, within walking distance to restaurants and a short drive to supermarkets. I highly recommend this motel for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

I was upgraded to a good value for money and brand-new room with all main requirements for a non cooking unit. The location turned out to be convenient, not far from different food establishments, the local tavern which served great food and nice restaurants.

The Kensington Motel in Whangarei exceeded our expectations in so many ways. the location was incredibly convenient with everything we needed just a stone's throw away - from food options to a grocery store and petrol station. Secondly, the room itself was impeccably clean, airy, and warm, providing us with all the comforts we desired. The attention to detail was fantastic, with a fully equipped kitchen boasting all the necessary utensils and facilities for our stay. Additionally, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were especially touched by their willingness to accommodate our last-minute addition of our young grand daughter, making her stay with us a delight. We travel frequently to Whangarei, and this hotel will definitely be our go-to option from now on.

All in all, our experience at this hotel was flawless.

We loved the central location of this hotel, making it easy to explore all the sights and sounds of the town. We were impressed with the ample and well-defined parking space available right outside our room. The hotel facilities were great, including the spotlights for security and the clean and comfortable rooms with a cosy bed. Also, we enjoyed being close to the Kensington pub, a fantastic spot to catch good meals and drinks without having to venture too far from the hotel.

It was all superb.
